Help Us In Our Time Of Need
We really wish we didn’t need to ask for help. We tried to not have to put a call out. You have to believe us but the costs of food for our pelicans and birds has just sky-rocketed. We have always made sure they receive the best and healthiest food possible. We receive no discounts on any of the food items. It’s just the way it is. However, with the calls for help continuing to increase and the number of birds coming into our care also going up, our need to buy food and the vast amount of it has increased.
Just this week, we have had many crested terns come in very thin and week needed feeding couple times a day to get them to a release stage.
The cost of the food has just gone up and up. We can’t actually believe it. We know the cost of pretty much everything has increased, but this has really shocked us. We’ve always believed in providing the very best food to our birds. We believe it makes their recovery much quicker and sets them up for a much healthier life. We wouldn’t change this for the world. It’s how we were brought up.
Tonight, we need to raise at least $25,000 to buy the fish and other food required for our pelicans and birds.
